# Settings

> Where to find profile, security, billing, SSH keys, and organization users.

The Settings area is where users manage personal profile information, account security, billing, SSH keys, and organization users. Settings are scoped to the active team and organization.

  Always confirm the correct organization before updating billing, managing SSH keys, inviting users, or changing access permissions.

## Best practices

| Area     | Best practice                                                           |
| -------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Profile  | Keep name and email accurate.                                           |
| Security | Use strong, unique passwords and update them after suspected exposure.  |
| Billing  | Use approved payment methods.                                           |
| SSH Keys | Upload only public keys and remove unused keys.                         |
| Users    | Grant least privilege and remove users who no longer need access.       |
| Credits  | Restrict credit purchasing to authorized users.                         |
| Rentals  | Restrict machine-rental permissions to infrastructure owners or admins. |
